Morning Work- May Ocean Edition

This week's morning bins:
I read Pip the Pup: Glue Stick

We are practicing our glue stick skills.
We usually use glue sponges.

I put letters 4 in a container.

What I really wanted was large coloring pieces
for our ocean mural. I copied this out of a
wait for it... a book!

In our journals:
We drew Z-words.
Zucchini, zig zag, zero
zebra, and zipper.

When we began our
ocean unit
I had them draw and write ocean words

These were the ocean magnets from Target.

I grabbed a pack of sandwich containers- I think
it was a 3 or 4-pack.
I used those Target alphabet clips.

I {think} the sheet came from here.

April Morning Bins

Alphabet Rain
glass gems from Dollar Tree

Last week we were watering the plants, I mean letters lol.

Did I use these gems last week? Yes,

Did I put them away? Yes,

Did I get them back out for this week? Yes lol

For whatever reason,
even using cardstock,
the papers were still rolling up.

So I had them move the poms poms.
Then put the drawer on top.
Grab mats here.

We're practicing our glue bottle skills.

Kinderpond Learns about: Weather

I start each unit with a letter that my students open.
Then I use the word cards from HERE
to go into our writing center.

 During our science lesson,
I use THESE word cards.

Here is our butcher paper activity.
I used those fabric cubes and
added weather to roll and they
can draw on the paper.

They loved it!

Rainbow mini erasers to build the letter.

Measuring lightning and rainbows.
Although I didn't find a rainbow recording sheet.

This is how we store our centers.
I share a room, so I pull the blue pocket
chart pictured at the top, down to cover them.

Here are our light table guidelines.

I asked the staff to save those
big chunks of excess to make these
weather pages.
sn*wflake, raindrop, and sun.

The above printables are from HERE.

I made Weather Stew from HERE.
Jumbo rainbow erasers
the sn*wflakes are metal-ish
white poms for clouds
yellow pipe cleaners for the lightning
yellow poms for sun
blue glass gems for rain

Bowls for the stew

Q-tip painting sheets HERE.

Make sure to grab these FREE weather printables

Stews Just get the bundle, it's well worth the money.
It's a bit of prep, but I have not found a class that doesn't love them!
