Recycling Unit

We start off with this song, and it gets stuck in your head!

Recycle

Mini erasers with cards

Unifix cubes to measure

Light table

Glass beads and Earth

Books for the unit

We read this book and made the classbook too!

This was for journals.
We practice our names the "kindergarten way"

We brainstormed shapes of recyclables could be.

I added these things to our sensory bin-
things for compost and things to recycle.
I put real objects in the table too.
Small metal containers as well as some small plastic ones.
I need to add some paper, plastic, and metal items.
I was thinking of those mini brands things.

The filling is clean, new pet bedding.

During journals we made a paper collage.
I brought out a bunch of different kinds of paper.
The students cut or tore the paper.

We traced recycle in blue, green, and our favorite colors :)
Printable here
We also used the word cards from that unit as well.
That's coming in our morning bins post :)

We write our names the "kindergarten way"
The letter of the day was Dd (we write it 4 times because we're four)
We read Compost stew and brainstormed things that would go into our compost.
