October: Week four

It's a "short" week for us. We are going to the pumpkin farm on Monday, so nothing really in our classroom.  So we are only having three morning bin rotations.

I scored these from Target. Check out that haul HERE.

Spider names from HERE.

I used the letters in the names in our room and
the numbers 4&5 for our ages :)

We are going to work on our coloring skills.
Later we will cut them out along
with the brown stem and green leaf.
This is from the website From The Pond coloring club.

Stacking toys from Target.

I think I found these bones at Dollar Tree
Don't have bones? Use Q-tips instead!

Ice cube trays and eyeballs from Dollar Tree.

Here are some magnet stories.
Just felt pieces with magnets on the back.

I got these from WalMart a hot minute ago :)

Week Two in October

Cards from here$

Next up are pattern cards from Pocket of Preschool.
These are mini erasers and some cards have pumpkin seeds too.
I used these pumpkin seeds. I bought the 3-pound bag.
I added tongs if they want to use them.
Works fine motor :)

Trace, trace, (write) and erase here $

I like when things rhyme lol so we leave out the write part lol
We chant "trace, trace, and erase"

These ice cube trays are from Dollar Tree (old so not $1.25 lol)
The number cube is those foam cubes and I added the Pips or dots.
These have only numbers 1-3.
Roll the cube. Add that many poms to the tray, when it is all full,
they roll and take them out and when empty, roll and fill.
No ending lol

High Light and cut

Here is where this printable comes from. $
In my monthly binder (blog post to come)

My students trace the line with the high lighter.
Cut the high lighted line.
Do my students cut all the way across the paper?
Yes of course they do- usually only the first time.

I try to sing "Don't Go Cutting my apple"
From the Elton John song "Don't Go Breaking My Heart"

Trace and Erase!

Here are counting cards,

When I use these counting mats
(which come in a TON of themes!!)
I put dots by the numbers to help
 children who need help. :)

I used googly eyes from Dollar Tree

This one uses ghost table scatter.

Eyeball jars the eyes are multi-colored.

I stored them but they were bent :(

I am trying to straighten them out...

I will update you next week on how they ended up.

loving the spiders!

It is still early in the year, so I put little dots so they

can count them to add that many spiders.

See how I added more dots to these too!

I used several different sets

Grab some free ones:

I will still have to add a number chart and marker to it.
I have the children put the same number
of pumpkins on the vines on the bottom.
The link is at the bottom for these printables.

Pumpkin Latte
missing in the photo- coffee cup :)

Pumpkin Emotions with play dough

We are going to spell their names :)

Put the number of pumpkins on the vines :)

Last week of September

In our last week of September we:

*Made a writing chart )I tried making it a marker/crayon box.

I still have to draw/make visuals next to words.

In our block area,
I have two building ideas.
When they build a tower they get their name on the

Frog Challenge Board (it's just a piece of cardstock)
laminated and on the line it says what the challenge is.
On the shelf above are additional cards
for the beginning of the year.

They move to our centers the following week.
I do that the first month of school.

Here are our morning bins for the week:
