Winter Morning Work

Sn*wflakes and more!
I give them a choice about what color they can use,

Read more about the punches here.

Funky Scissors to make a cutting collage

Fine motor snowflake beads-
just stringing them on a pipe cleaner
You could have them make patterns,
you could add a dice and have them
add that many beads
to the pipe cleaner.

I got them from Oriental Trading,
here is the post they made
using them, but they are out of stock.

October Morning Work

I have this product.  I chose some for each month.
In my assessment binder, I have all of my monthly sheets:
reading homework, monthly portrait, and scissors skills.

We used this spider web from HERE.
Kids write their names, one letter on each square.
I write in yellow if they can't write it themselves.

October: Week four

It's a "short" week for us. We are going to the pumpkin farm on Monday, so nothing really in our classroom.  So we are only having three morning bin rotations.

I scored these from Target. Check out that haul HERE.

Spider names from HERE.

End of the month scissor skills. Found HERE.

The rest of our centers are the same.

October: Week 1

This week's morning bins and centers:

High Light and cut

Here is where this printable comes from. $
In my monthly binder (blog post to come)

My students trace the line with the high lighter.
Cut the high lighted line.
Do my students cut all the way across the paper?
Yes of course they do- usually only the first time.

I try to sing "Don't Go Cutting my apple"
From the Elton John song "Don't Go Breaking My Heart"

Trace and Erase!
These are from Perfectly Preschool

Here are counting cards,

When I use these counting mats
(which come in a TON of themes!!)
I put dots by the numbers to help
 children who need help. :)

I used googly eyes from Dollar Tree

This one uses ghost table scatter.

Eyeball jars the eyes are multi-colored.

I stored them but they were bent :(

I am trying to straighten them out...

I will update you next week on how they ended up.

loving the spiders!

It is still early in the year, so I put little dots so they

can count them to add that many spiders.

See how I added more dots to these too!

I used several different sets

Grab some free ones:

I will still have to add a number chart and marker to it.
I have the children put the same number
of pumpkins on the vines on the bottom.
The link is at the bottom for these printables.

Pumpkin Latte
missing in the photo- coffee cup :)

Pumpkin Emotions with play dough

We are going to spell their names :)

Put the number of pumpkins on the vines :)
Jack o lantern mini erasers

These printables came from HERE. $

Friendship week recap and morning bins

To celebrate 2-22-22 we made matching pairs of foods. I put half the pairs up first and they had to find the matching pair.  Then in journals, we drew 4 matching pairs.

I think they did wonderful!!!!!!

On to the morning bins:

following the patterns was super hard for them to accomplish!

I am still working on finding who made this-
this is my example and I have no idea where the original one is and
there is no name on it waaaaaaa :(
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grab yours HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Target had a numbers one and an alphabet one...
but I need 3 for morning bins.
I put a container from Dollar Tree filled with different beads.

I used this puzzle from Dollar Tree.
I had to tape it down so it would stay put.

Here is our monthly scissor skills sheet.
They trace the line with the high lighter and then cut.
I sing, they sing, "Don't go cutting my heart"

I found these felt cupcakes at Dollar Tree.
They go perfectly with Pete the Cat.

We made concentric hearts.
I also taught them how to make hearts by making
two circles next to each other and adding a "V"

We read the rock book Love You When and then
we add these rocks to our centers.

Here was our sensory bin.

*Purple and pink rice
*cupcake liners
*measuring spoons
*heart ice cube trays
*see through hearts
*heart erasers
