Dental Health in the Kinderpond

 Sensory bin

In the upper left corner- there are those plastic cups (you can barely see lol)

measuring spoons

cupcake liners

mouthwash bottle

white letters

teeth from those tooth necklaces

I used this as a transition activity and later put in centers to play.

In journals, we made our own toothpaste trails.

We made rectangles and added a line to
make toothbrushes in journals.

I have frog challenges.
Then when my students try out the center, we write their names
on the sheets. I draw simple pictures on them with a name.
So instead of calling these tracing lines,
I call them toothpaste trails lol

Inside the center bin.
We erase with a toothbrush.

I used those sparkly pom-poms because I think they look like cavities lol

I added a pail to hold the teeth.
Children will place the number of teeth on the game boards.

These are playdough heads.
Shrek and the guy.
The guy was my son when he was younger, it was
his toy. He called it Randy, his dad's name.
Now we also call it Randy.

Random coloring sheets
We color on the front and the back.

Toys
top ones from Dollar Tree
bottom one from Target.

Cavity Count
roll the number cube
add that many cavities to the teeth
erase with the toothbrush

All About Reading and More

I have two sets of bookshelves.
One on my floor and one in my loft.

The chart is about book care and can be found here$

I laminated a piece of chart paper- well half lol
I drew the cute border folded in half and ran through my big laminator.
Then used a razorblade to separate the sides.
When we discuss library expectations,
I add the pieces and tape them to the chart.

I need to figure out what to do with those bins lol
they just keep getting moved all around lol

Here is our writing center:
I need to figure out what else to put in my writing center.
Maybe chalk and chalkboards.
Maybe letters.... hummmmm......

Stay tuned for new writing utensils!

Classroom Tour: Writing center

The WRITE signs are from Tara West.
I move the WRITE letters on the wall near the top.

We made an anchor chart.
I tried making it look like a crayon/marker box.
Write on/ write with/ not write on.

Those word cards are from HERE.
On the side of the wooden shelves, I have a small white hook-
this holds our name cards.

I do not have scissors or glue in my writing center.
That black container is a Tool-turn-about is from Pampered Chef!
It holds pens, markers, pencils, colored pencils, and crayons.

In the wooden shelves:
clipboards
plain paper- multi sizes
stencils
pencils
crayons

I take the themed paper and tool-turn-about off
daily because I share my classroom.
