Work Week in Review

For some reason, our mats were curling up, so I put them under the drawers and it kept the mat flat and the poms in place.

And then they ask me how to sound out their words!

Pom-poms

Pattern blocks (note to self: buy more green triangles.  I had to borrow some from two teachers lol)

Lego bricks from Dollar Tree

Here we rolled the number cube and added that many play dough balls to our pot!
I got the printable here.

I had my students lay the sticks on the board first and then make the shape next to the card.
These came from here.

We made rainbow pots.
I took out the scissors and we tore the paper instead.

 Morning Work

Here we have more from HERE.
We cut out the shamrock and then punch them with a hole punch.

Here we trace, trace and erase.
We trace with our finger, trace with marker and
then write it on our own.

I call these skittles cards lol
Here is me prepping them :)
Make the pattern and then continue it.

Here we take a JUMBO push pins.
The children lay on their bellies and strengthen their cores and fine motor!

I know it says q-tip painting, but I laminated it and we use beads :)

Week in review: Seuss and more

I have struggled all year with my morning bins.

Last year we had four days of school and four activities.

Changed them on Friday, easy peasy!

Well this year, I needed to have five sets of activities.

I  hardly remember to change the names by moving them down, but

then I can't remember who used the bin lol

So I attached this paper clip

on the top one when I change the drawers out.

This seems to work... so far!

I used letter beads in those wooden trays from Bullseye's Playground at Target.

We used heart beads here!

Here are some other highlights this week!

I tipped the tables upside down to attach
our letter book pages. We laid on our backs.

We measured up with the Cat in the Hat.

We wore crazy socks.

I added green eggs and red spoons to our sensory bin.

We built under my loft.
I used to have a curtain blocking my theme boxes,
but a student tore them down...

I had these silly bands, I wanted to use them,
but not use them up lol

I picked a few packs and spread them out, then

I popped them on my color copy machine and the kids have to match!!!

Cube blocks from here.

Spin & Trace
I attached a spinner from Amazon.
I tell them to spin and trace-
then to spin and erase.

I bought these wood numbers and letters from Target.
I added small heart beads to fill in the spaces.
This year, I needed three...

I grabbed this green puzzle from Dollar Tree.

Those containers are from Dollar Tree too!

This month- apparently I cut off the hearts lol-
for our scissors skills this month.
so I sing "Don't go cutting my heart" Think Elton John ;)
I got those high lighters from Naeir
