Splish Splash in Kinderpond

Learning Board-

Name Practice-         These are free!

Monday-

Word Study: Sponge Toss (broken link)
Using your words, write on sponges.  I cut mine in long rectangles.
Set up buckets.  Pick a sponge, say the word and toss into a bucket!

Fine Motor: Pool Noodle Stack

Science: Bodies of Water (user upload)

Math: M&D tracing books
I grabbed mine on Amazon.

Writing: Trace Wikki Sticks
Lay wikki sticks down, place paper over the top, rub with crayons. Think leaf rubbings.
I lay my Wikki Sticks on an old vinyl placemat.  I "train the troops" to lay them flat too!

Theme/Life Skills: Bubbles

Fine Motor: Foam shapes/numbers

Science: float/sink

Math: Card Matching                Pool Pals

Writing: Grid

Theme/Life Skills: Pool Shaker (I spy bottle)

I used an old plastic container. Fill with different things like plain rice, colored rice, popcorn, pasta lol

Print out the pages.  Leave one page whole and cut up the other one.  You shake around the container to find everything inside.  I would put large glass beads to cover the master sheet.  I usually add that to a sheet protector.

So this might be awesome with waterbeads.... I would totally cut, laminate, and cut again though.

Thursday
Story: Summertime Floats (coming soon)

Poem: Water

Word Study: Highlight words: for*the*and*me from the poem above

Fine Motor: blue water beads (user upload)
I grabbed a tray similar to this at Dollar Tree.  It's an egg tray :)

Science:
Math: Roll color cube add colored frogs (bears) to color cups
I saw this game and I will just make it myself lol
If you follow me, you know I like frogs, so instead of color bears, I have color frogs.  Stay tuned on the big kids blog for a Made it Monday and I will let you know how I made this myself :)

Art: Aquarium stamp
Here is a paper plate aquarium that we made.

Directions:Give students one paper plate.
Let them stamp sea creatures on the inside of the plate.
Give students another plate. Have them cut out the center. Following the center ridge. Sometimes, depending on my students ability, I make a little hole for them to start.
The have them color the outside bumps. Then cut a piece of blue saran wrap and tape on the inside. I do this myself :)
The we staple around the edges. These I only did the top, bottom, and sides. I usually add Easter Grass to look like sea weed. Then I staple a little more so the grass doesn't fall out.
