H for Halloween (only one week)

Sensory Bin- I always try to share my personal sensory bin on the Facebook page because I don't have them done when I create these lesson plans.

Orange and Purple Rice with black beans
I bought some Halloween smallish pieces, I may try to add them.

Sunday~ Sensory Bin:

Monday~ Read Halloween Books

The Dollar Tree is a great place to find board books there :)

Tuesday~ Halloween Movement: fly like a bet, float like a ghost, roll like a pumpkin, creep like a cat,  crawl like a spider, swoop like an owl, smile like a jack-o-lantern, march like a mummy

Wednesday~ Put a small amount of paint onto a plate, dip cookie cutter in.  Place on paper.  Repeat again and use different cookie cutters.

Thursday~ Dough & pumpkin playmat

Friday~ Add items to bin

Saturday~ Paint their feet white to make gift.

Since it is a short week, we will do any of the activities again.

So next week will be Fall Week 1/2

F is for Fall Week 1

This would be one idea for your sensory bin:
I will put it outside for the birds to eat when we're done.

Wednesday~ I will pull out my cup with the snack lid on and have P push through pom pons.

Thursday:

Friday: Pumpkin Jell-O (look further down for another idea)

 Saturday:

These would be fun to try too!

If you can't find the pumpkin spice Jell-O, I would make a batch of dough and
split it up based on what spices I have :)

All About Me Week 2

Monday: Re-read any books that are favorites.

Tuesday: Try out the Skeleton Dance song

Wednesday:  Today we actually celebrate his birthday, but I am making him help me with the cake.

Thursday:

Friday:  Add a bunch of 2's to the bin and the letters happy birthday!

Saturday:
Make letters to fill in his name or print/make a birthday cake and have them make candles and decorate it!

His party is on Saturday, so I am  guessing we will either skip the activities or do them at different times.

So in my over-planning, I planned a whole extra unit!!!  Wait what?  How did this happen?  Well it will benefit everyone!  In the event that you don't celebrate Halloween, you can skip that and just go into Fall Week 1 instead.  There will be a Fall Week 2. So you can pick and choose the fun stuff from Fall Week 1 if you also did the Halloween Week with us.  I will post Halloween and Fall Week at the same time, but different posts.

All About Me oct 12

Monday~

Make Potato Head quiet book pages

We will make his favorite dough.

His favorite snacks.

He will pick a birthday cake flavor. He will help decorate it with sprinkles.
If he were older, we could do this one with edible markers.

In the sensory bin- he will choose his base- paper, rice, beans.  I am thinking colored rice- they look like sprinkles.
