All About Reading and More

I have two sets of bookshelves.
One on my floor and one in my loft.

The chart is about book care and can be found here$

I laminated a piece of chart paper- well half lol
I drew the cute border folded in half and ran through my big laminator.
Then used a razorblade to separate the sides.
When we discuss library expectations,
I add the pieces and tape them to the chart.

I need to figure out what to do with those bins lol
they just keep getting moved all around lol

Here is our writing center:
I need to figure out what else to put in my writing center.
Maybe chalk and chalkboards.
Maybe letters.... hummmmm......

Stay tuned for new writing utensils!

Book Orders Wish List

I wanted my students to be more involved in self selecting books and building our classroom library.

Plus we need to work on our cutting skills as well.

I created this sheet for morning work one day.

I don't know about you, but I always have extra book order forms, so we are going to put them to good use.

Then I looked at books that the children picked and cut those out to display in our room as class picks. I also added books for upcoming themes as well.

I would love to hear how it went in your room!  Tag me on FB or IG to be entered to win free materials!

Week in Review: Zoo.... and a confession

Last week we talked about the zoo.
We listened to one story.
We played with the zoo puzzles.
We frosted animal crackers.
We went to the zoo.

Confession #1:

I didn't print anything for his binder!

I did however get some books and games on an on-line garage sale site:

Each of these were only a $1 each!!!

Confession #2...
this is my first purchase of Pete the Cat lol
I've know about them since they came out though!

I hope to accomplish more this week with camping.
I mean I plan some pretty cool activities!
