Science Center: Magnets

I  have so many of these Kindergarten Crate boxes,
so when I put together the units, more than just printing,
I pop all the extras in these boxes.

All the printables in the science area are from here.

There are a ton of cards- the smaller ones hanging,
have the same photo plus more words :)

Close up

Since I shared my science center,
I thought I'd share my math area too.

Here is my math area.
We are a Pip the Pup classroom.
I am trying to convince Tara West, to make some additional

I take these down each and every year.
When I introduce a shape,

Ice Cream Centers

Here are some of the books we used during our unit:

These were brand new this year and a huge hit!

These are our ice cream gameboards.
There is a 10-frame under the mini erasers.
These are found HERE.

This is how I store my Stews.
A simple ziploc bag.
Get your Stews HERE.

This is the Stew all put together.
I used large pom poms for the ice cream, I used
fun foam for the bananas and chocolate syrup.
I used beads for the sprinkles.

Here are our mixing bowls and ice cream scoops for the stews.
The bowls and green scoop is from Dollar Tree.
The blue scoop is from an ice cream set.

We are making popsicles HERE.
I used half pipe cleaners.

Here we are making patterns on a pocket chart.
These are from HERE.

Here are our play dough mats.
Emotions HERE.
Shapes HERE.

Ice Cream Shop sundae HERE.

One day, we practiced making waffle cones.
One day we practiced making scoops.
On this day, we put them together and
used crepe paper and glue sticks.
This was part of our fine motor journals.

Letter of the Day

The situation: I use all of these for the letter of the day work.

Read about my setup HERE.

Going clockwise:
There are new letter sound books that I will add
Random mini-books
Letter A games- this is a whole set.

Read about the letter board HERE.

I can barely carry this thing lol
Soon it will have another book included!

The bad news is that it doesn't all fit inside lol

I am leaning toward hanging folders because
I need it organized and manageable.
I am up for any other ideas!

More May Bins and Journals

During our nursery rhymes unit, we also celebrated a birthday.

So we drew rectangles and added a flame.

We are making cakes today!
We talked about different lines we could
make on our cakes to decorate them :)

At the end of the lesson,
I ask if they want a
*Heart
*Star
*Smiley Face

It's a smelly marker :)
pre-k through 5th graders love them!!

We practice writing our names each day.
Then today we made moons and I gave them each 4 star stickers.

Spider day!
We did Itsy Bitsy Spider
Little Miss Muffet

Today was Humpty Dumpty
We drew horizontal lines.
Then I showed LEGO tower that was stacked
then showed them when they were staggered.

Here are our morning bins:
