Hibernation in Kinderpond

One of two bookshelves (no idea where the other photo is though lol)

I had them build a cave to play the game. *

Making patterns*

I love me some mini erasers :)
groundhog trace*

Sleeping squirrels numbers*
We put these in a pocket chart.
They match number, ten frames, and acorn number.

Pick a turtle write the letter and build with rocks,*

Hedgehop puzzles*
I don't think anyone played with this-
that's when you can pull it and use it as a transition activity.

This is find the bat in the bat cave*
This game gets heated in my room!!!!
One child hides the bat behind the number on a cave.
The other children have to say the number before they pick a cave.

Here you roll the number cube and then the color cube.
Take that many of that color.

I took the blue and white out of my light table boxes from Learning Resources.
This is the closest I have seen to mine.
I have some random 3D shapes too but they are pretty old lol

**Find the printables HERE.

Morning Bins and Sn*w Learning

Sn*wflake Beads to lace on sparkly pipe cleaners

We have been using dry erase markers but they have been a real bear to erase!
So we are going to try wet-erase on these.

Melted Sn*wmen
I literally cut 1-inch strips of scratch paper, some orange squares,
and some brown strips of colored paper.

Kids will cut the paper to make a sn*wman :)

Here is our science center.

The printables are found here.$

Like my purple curtain?
I literally hot glued it to the workbench lol
At least it covered most of the shelves lol

In the blue pocket chart, the kids can match the tiny sn*wflakes to some bigger ones.
All the cards are on the left-hand side of the table in the blue container.
There are blue and white cubes to measure the flakes,
there are glass beads and blue pattern blocks to make flakes
I added some sn*wflake frames in those heavy-duty plastic sleeves.

They used a sn*wflake cookie cutter and the tools HERE to make the patterns.

After we read Sn*wmen at Night
we made this chart
(Apparently, my Dyslexia came through spelling sn*wmen!)

January Sn*w Centers

Just some regular snow punches.
The container came from Dollar Tree.

This is a spinner game with Unifix cubes.
Spin and graph.
You could be all fancy and use item counters like a carrot
eraser and buttons, but we just got Unifix cubes!

Pattern block challenge

Snapcube challenge

Pocket chart numbers-
I think there are 3 or 4 things to match to the number head.

I pulled all my blue magnatiles for our light table.

We also got these!!!!!!

Hop over here to see how I store my pom-poms.
I am also thinking of doing the same with LEGO bricks.

I got these from Target and going to put them in the blocks center.

I have some playdough cards and some snowmen cookie cutters.
The kids bring in 4 containers of playdough.
I try to choose colors that fit the month.
Blues for January.
(Reds and pinks for Feb.
Greens and oranges March
April greens
October oranges and black
Nov brown
December green and red)

Here's a dice game where the children roll the number cube and add mini erasers.

Most of the printables are from HERE. $$

Oh.... and my least favorite word is sn*w lol
my students think it is so funny.
It is the first word that I actively teach them to read lol
just so I don't have to say it!!!

Next week, I will show you our morning work. :)
