October Morning Work

I have this product.  I chose some for each month.
In my assessment binder, I have all of my monthly sheets:
reading homework, monthly portrait, and scissors skills.

We used this spider web from HERE.
Kids write their names, one letter on each square.
I write in yellow if they can't write it themselves.

March Morning Bins

Skittles Patterns... minus the Skittles,
I used beads instead.

I just die-cut shamrocks from white paper.
I hung on our tree with a pipe cleaner.

Scissor skills here.

Theme Words- we do this for each theme.
I save them for their portfolios.

Winter Emotions
Grab your *free* copies below.

There are four winter feelings:

Mittens pink/purple

Mittens blue

Someone made a polar bear one and I loved it so much,
I made recording sheets to go along with the ones above.
Alas, I can't remember where I saw it or the creator,
I am so sorry, I wanted to link your work here, but I can't recall where it was :(

Sn*wflake FREE!!!!!!!!

Fine motor snowflake beads-
just stringing them on a pipe cleaner
You could have them make patterns,
you could add a dice and have them add that many beads
to the pipe cleaner.

Melted Snowman

You could work with scissors or torn paper

Morning Work

 Stacking puzzles from Target

I used real pumpkin seeds,
pumpkins and candy corn mini erasers.

End of the month scissor skills. Found HERE.

Halloween Counting Mats

When I use these counting mats
(which come in a TON of themes!!)
I put dots by the numbers to help
 children who need help. :)

We are loving the spiders!

It is still early in the year, so I put little dots so they

can count them to add that many spiders.

Morning Bins

Puzzles from Tara West.

I punched them at the top and for storage on a ring.
I put different puzzles in each container.

Containers from Naeir see the haul here.

Target felt lacers

Mini shape erasers that I added to the color copier.
The students will match the mini-eraser to the page.

It's on regular copy paper and inside a plain sheet protector,
and not those plastic dry-erase sleeves.

Morning Bins February

There is NO name on these!
I can't find it anywhere. :(

Trace, trace, (write) and erase here $

I like it when things rhyme lol so we leave out the write part lol
We chant "trace, trace, and erase"

January Winter Morning Work

 Wiki Sticks

I didn't want to reinvent the wheel,

so I brought out these shape cards,

but I only had two sets and I need three.

So I went to find the shape Arctic cards.

Grab this AMAZING mat for easy storage plus it's free!!!

Next up we have these counting cards with mini erasers.

Next up we have our monthly portrait and scissor skills.
They get a highlighter and a box of Color Me World crayons.
When they drew themselves and highlighted the lines,
they turned the drawing in and I gave them the scissors so there was
no chance that they would cut the self-portraits.

Labels
The ones I used are HERE.

Then they could choose from a Sn*wflake or a hat.
They got to choose whatever colors they wanted.
Grab the bundle HERE.

On the bottom, I added a heart for them to add their names.

More May Bins and Journals

During our nursery rhymes unit, we also celebrated a birthday.

So we drew rectangles and added a flame.

We are making cakes today!
We talked about different lines we could
make on our cakes to decorate them :)

At the end of the lesson,
I ask if they want a
*Heart
*Star
*Smiley Face

It's a smelly marker :)
pre-k through 5th graders love them!!

We practice writing our names each day.
Then today we made moons and I gave them each 4 star stickers.

Spider day!
We did Itsy Bitsy Spider
Little Miss Muffet

Today was Humpty Dumpty
We drew horizontal lines.
Then I showed LEGO tower that was stacked
then showed them when they were staggered.

Here are our morning bins:

Scissor skills
Theme Words
Ice Cream Names
Glue Stick practice

For each theme, the children use the writing center
with word cards to write and illustrate.

Ice Cream names HERE.

We are practicing our glue stick skills.
We usually use glue sponges.

This is how the drawer for the kids looks:
