Morning Work

I made die-cut frogs for our tree this month :)

Directed Drawing:Turkeys Kinderpond Style

I did these directed drawings
within small groups.
I have two small groups. 


I drew a circle/oval in the middle of the paper.

Then I went around the table and 
had one child give me a color.

I drew the feathers that color.
Then around again for what kind of lines 
we should use to decorate the feathers.

Then we added the eyes, beak, waddle, and legs.

Kinderpond has Gone to the Birds

Feed the Birds
Build a nest- these are half-sized popsicle sticks.


All the birds drawing cards I could find lol
You can search "directed drawing" and it will pull up a ton!

Match the shapes to the birds
We use these on a vertical surface.


Roll and fill the nest.


Measure me- feather sizes


Sorting egg sizes.

Week in review

 We did a directed drawing during journal time.
Their guesses are off to the side:

bear
bunny


We read Not a Box
We drew rectangles and turned them into different things!

We read Too Many Carrots.

We made carrots.

One of my frogs noticed we made a 7. Brillant!!
