Ice Cream Centers

 Here are some of the books we used during our unit:



These were brand new this year and a huge hit!


These are our ice cream gameboards. 
There is a 10-frame under the mini erasers.

This is how I store my Stews.
A simple ziploc bag.

This is the Stew all put together.
I used large pom poms for the ice cream, I used 
fun foam for the bananas and chocolate syrup.
I used beads for the sprinkles.

Here are our mixing bowls and ice cream scoops for the stews.
The bowls and green scoop is from Dollar Tree.
The blue scoop is from an ice cream set.

I used half pipe cleaners.

One day, we practiced making waffle cones.
One day we practiced making scoops.
On this day, we put them together and
used crepe paper and glue sticks.

Letter of the Day

The bad news is that it doesn't all fit inside lol

I am leaning toward hanging folders because 
I need it organized and manageable.
I am up for any other ideas!

More May Bins and Journals

 During our nursery rhymes unit, we also celebrated a birthday. 

So we drew rectangles and added a flame.


 

We are making cakes today!
We talked about different lines we could 
make on our cakes to decorate them :)



At the end of the lesson,
I ask if they want a
*Heart
*Star
*Smiley Face

It's a smelly marker :)
pre-k through 5th graders love them!!



We practice writing our names each day.
Then today we made moons and I gave them each 4 star stickers.

Today was Humpty Dumpty
We drew horizontal lines.
Then I showed LEGO tower that was stacked
then showed them when they were staggered.

Nursery Rhymes in Kinderpond

it holds all of the pieces that we retell in 
our mini pocket charts.

again- the filler is sort of like
fish gravel but plastic.


We are making Hickory Dickory Clocks

The children will roll and add that many poms to the sheep

May Morning Bins

 We are kicking off a new unit- nursery rhymes- post coming next week. 

Here are our morning bins this week:

We are breaking out the glue bottles. 

We use glue sponges for our everyday needs.

We are making letters with brown sticks (pipe cleaners)

The end of the year means we are no longer tracing our names.
Each day we will trace our names in different ways.
After they trace that way, the teacher will stamp that line and use the next line the next day.
At the end of the week, they will be sent home.
