Classroom Tour: Circle Time Area

 




This is our circle time area.


On the walls:

alphabet chart- from Dollar Tree

above the letters, I have name cards for everyone in my room, teachers included. I got them for free from HERE. I print a whole page per child, some are in uppercase and some are capital letters to begin, and the rest lowercase for the second semester.  I have two alphabets (my room is split into two parts lol) so I hang them up twice.  One full set for our journals. One for our writing center. One is for our birthday board, sort of lol They move their name when they turn 5 :)

2021 classroom tour

 Here are some of the areas in my room. Over the following weeks, I will give a little breakdown of each area.  

Today we will start with a quick overview.

Here is our circle time rug.  The hoppy helper of the day gets to sit in the pond :) 
I have carpet halfway up my walls...

2021-2022 School Year

 This is our *tentative* plan for this 2021-2021 year.

but like everything in life, we must be flexible!





Taking suggestions on what dramatic play for March... maybe a theater so they can act out nursery rhymes. Still deciding :)


We start school at 8:45 and go until 11:50.



8:45 school begins
    Coats/backpacks are hung up.
    Morning greeting
    Children grab their folders and their stars.
    Put folders in the folder box.
    Read and answer the question of the day.
    Trace your name.
    Get your morning bin

9:00 clean up and get ready for circle time/calendar.

9:30 snack

9:45 reading- children self-select books to look at 

9:50 small groups

10:00 centers

10:50 Dance party

11:00 Journals

11:15 Second Circle time: science or social skills lesson

11:25 Closing and getting ready to go outside

11:30 Outside

11:50 our day is done :)

Kinderpond dives into the Ocean

 As we finish up our last few weeks of school, we are going to the ocean!

Here is one sensory bin with Kinetic sand.

This is 3 big bags of sand. We found them for $1.25 each!

the blue circle thing- is kind of like a wok, it doesn't sit flat.
The children grab the color balls and put in the colored cups on the side.

May Morning Bins

We are practicing with glue sticks here.
These came from Play to Learn Preschool
We read the glue stick book from Pip first of course lol

You pick a card and make a butterfly.


Pick a card and make a flower.


Pick a card and make a caterpillar.

We've used these frogs before, now I added the cards. 
The cards get harder. There are three different levels.
